  This church is better I presume. Thank you. Yes. There is bad Christians n they r good Christians. N these r the good Christians thank you church on lake shore. In oakland CA. Thank you very much.

  Been a member since 1967, my mother and grandmother even before then nice atmosphere, the music is great the people of different nationality all together to praise God almighty!!

  Great music, lovely folks, good preaching, very real life. Excellent children's programming. A nice find for working with and worshipping with people who care about the community they live in. The lakeshore location and beautiful sanctuary with historic and gorgeous mosaic tryptich is a real bonus.

  Lake Merritt UMC states that it is an open and affirming Christian church serving God in downtown Oakland - and it is! This diverse community includes people of all ages, colors, ethnicities, sexual orientations who work together to bring about the kingdom of God on earth through various programs such as food pantry, lake lunches, interfaith partnerships etc.
